Google
Doc is an excellent online
application suite designed to be
platform independent. In other words, anyone can use Google
Doc from any computers (PC, Mac, Linux, BSD, Unix) as long as they have
an Internet connection and a compatible browser.
RHCA Grade 8 Computers will introduce basic word processing,
presentation, and spreadsheet skills. Google Doc equivalent
applications are Document, Presentation, and Spreadsheet. The
skills learned will enable students to move on to other similar
commercial software like but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft
PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.
As a prerequisite to accessing Google Doc applications, students will
be required to setup a GMail account. That simple process
will occur prior to the introduction of Google Doc.
